Sea Level Brewing, is located a little off the beaten track at 9146 Hwy 221 in the community of Sheffield Mills, just a short drive away from Cape Split, Blomidon and Halls Harbour. Family owned and operated, our Brewhouse is surrounded by the lush acreage on which we grow most of our malting barley, some hops and other fruit inputs. This allows us to produce Uniquely Nova Scotian, Farm to Table Craft Beers and Ciders.
Job Summary: Our farm to table brewery is looking for a General Brewery Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the production process of our high-quality craft beer. The General Brewery Worker will work closely with our brewing team and assist in the day to day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily tasks, including cleaning kegs, filling growlers, and packaging cans
- Work alongside brewing team members to ensure a smooth and efficient production process
- Clean and sanitize all brewing equipment and tools, including tanks, hoses, and filters
- Help with the loading and unloading of brewing equipment and supplies
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized brewery facility, including cleaning floors, walls, and other surfaces
- Perform other duties as assigned by the brewing team or brewery management
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a brewery or related industry is preferred but not required
- Valid Drivers Liscence and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Flexibility in work schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a cold and wet environment
- Ability to work in a hot and wet environment
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work in tight spaces
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Part-time hours: 25 - 30 per week
Salary: From $14.50 per hour
